Nick Gibb MP visited the 1st Middleton-on-Sea Scout group at their headquarters in Middleton, at the invitation of the Scout Leader, Mark Peacock.
The purpose of the visit was to help three of the scouts with their Chief Scout Challenge badge; in particular to discuss how government and Parliament works. The scouts had prepared a number of questions, including why I wanted to be an MP, and policies related to the environment and climate change. We also discussed the scouts’ career ambitions.
Nick Gibb said: “It was a pleasure to meet the three scouts and to help them with their Chief Scout Challenge. And to thank all the adults who week in week out volunteer to help run the scouts in Middleton and throughout the Bognor Regis and Littlehampton area. The scouting movement could not function without them. “
