In recent months a number of traders have raised concerns about levels of anti-social behaviour in Littlehampton’s town centre which is driving away business. This was also a concern raised by Arun District Councillor, Alan Gammon.
As a consequence, Nick Gibb MP invited Katy Bourne, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner, to come to Littlehampton to meet a number of traders.
Nick Gibb said, “I am very concerned about some of the anti-social behaviour in the town centre which local traders and businesses are finding is driving away customers.
“Katy Bourne was very keen to see for herself some of the problems. She joined me in meeting traders and discussing in detail the issues they face. Knowing how effective Katy Bourne is as one of the country’s leading Police and Crime Commissioners, I am confident that our concerns and those of the businesses will be taken seriously by the very senior ranks of Sussex Police.”
