Nick Gibb visited the Rheumatology Department at the Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital to discuss the work of the department with Sister Maggie Walsh and consultant Dr Sanjeev Menon.
Over the last 10 years significant advances have been made in treating rheumatoid arthritis, with a range of highly effective drugs that weren’t around even a few years ago.
Nick Gibb said: “Meeting Sister Walsh is always a pleasure. Maggie runs the Rheumatoid department like a well oiled machine but with the care of her patients as the overriding concern. Maggie is well known to people in Bognor Regis for her decades of professionalism and compassion.
“Dr Menon has been a consultant rheumatologist at St Richard’s Hospital and Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital since 1997. He is popular with patients and has ensured that patients are treated with the latest therapies and drugs.”
