Nick Gibb visited the Tamarisk Centre in Beach Road, Littlehampton to hear about all the activities that are available at the Centre for those over 50.
The Centre has about 350 members who pay an annual subscription. In addition, there are, on average, 60 visitors a month on a day basis, and about 190 visitors a month who have just "popped in".
Nick Gibb said, "The Tamarisk Centre is an important local amenity for those aged over 50. It provides a forum for meeting people and delivers a whole range of services from hairdressers to ballroom dancing.
"The Centre is always looking for more members and more volunteers to help run it."
