Nick Gibb visited Heygates bookshop at the Bognor Regis railway station at the invitation of its owner Jason Passingham.
Jason moved his shop last year, from its original site in the High Street to the railway station where he has seen an increased footfall and turnover. The shop recently won the SmallBiz 100 award.
The bookshop is a part-exchange bookshop which means customers can buy good quality used books at a reduced price in exchange for giving the shop books they’ve read and no longer need.
The bookshop sells or exchanges about 1,000 books each week.
They also hold events such as book signings - recently authors Beryl Kingston and Graham Minette have hosted book signings at the shop.
Nick Gibb said: “Heygates in its Railway Station location is a wonderful and inviting bookshop. It’s very spacious and is teaming with books of every kind. The railway theme permeates throughout the store.
“Jason has created a wonderful facility for the town and I’d urge anyone interested in books, fact or fiction, to pay him a visit.”
