Nick Gibb MP visited Blenheim Court in Bognor Regis to meet tenants of Golden Lane Housing. Golden Lane Housing was established by Mencap in 1998 to provide supported housing for adults with learning difficulties. Since 1998 they have invested nearly £100 million to provide homes for over 1700 people in 700 properties throughout the UK.
Nick Gibb said: "I thoroughly enjoyed meeting tenants living at Golden Lane Housing's home in Blenheim Court, Bognor Regis. We had tea and home-made cakes and discussed their lives and daily routines. It was clear that all the residents were happy and well supported. Despite their learning difficulties, most of the tenants lead active lives, contributing to society, either through paid employment or voluntary work. I also met the dedicated professionals who provide the support to the tenants and who are making a positive difference to the quality of life of all the residents in their care."
